How To Use BBCode.

Post by FerretFox41 on Tue Mar 30, 2010 5:19 pm

OK, this is basically a post explaining what BBCode is, how to use it, and basically displaying the effects that it can result in.

To start off:

What is BBCode?

BBCode is basically a coding used on this website that can make your text bold, italicized, or perhaps underlined! It can do a ton of things, and it really is quite simple. Basically, say you wanted to make text a certain color, say, blue. Well, you would do a left bracket, [, type in the word color, put an =, type in the color, then close the bracket. So far, you've got
Code:
[color=blue]
, correct? Good. Now, you would type in your text, say, DO A BARREL ROLL!. So, you would have
Code:
[color=blue]Do a barrel roll!
. Then, you do a left bracket, [, a slash, /, type in the word color, and close the bracket with ]. So, you get,
Code:
[color=blue]Do a barrel roll![/color]
, which comes out to be:

Do a barrel roll!

Nice, huh?

Now, here's all of the examples of BBCode.

Bold Text:

Wow, I feel quite bold today.

Code:
[b]Wow, I feel quite bold today.[/b]

Italicized Text:

Hurry!

Code:
[i]Hurry![/i]

Underlined Text:
You know, being underlined is like having a mustache. And mustaches are cool.

Code:
[u]You know, being underlined is like having a mustache. And mustaches are cool.[/u]

Striked-through Text:
Three strikes, you're out!

Code:
[strike]Three strikes, you're out![/strike]

Centered Text:
